William Booth House is part of The Salvation Army Bridge Program network. Includes a 31-bed detoxification unit. The Bridge Program is a 3 stage Program of residential rehabilitation from alcohol, other drug and gambling addictions. It lasts approximately 10 months. The introductory stage (Assessment phase) is about 3 weeks long. Any necessary detoxing occurs at specialised Detox facilities. The Program concerns rehabilitation, not detoxification. 2nd stage (Treatment phase) is at an intensive phase of growth through group and personal reflection. The 3rd and final stage (Re-Entry) is 8 weeks long. It also uses the 12-Step Model of Recovery, but goes on to adapt those Steps as part of a much more structured and disciplined Program.
