The Lake Macquarie Mental Health Service aims to provide a comprehensive adult mental health service including consultation, assessment, treatment and follow-up for clients and their families from the Lake Macquarie area. The service provides an accessible and responsive service that aims to assist clients suffering from acute mental health problems by assessing, formulating and implementing management plans, focus on supporting the families and carers of clients with mental health issues, reduce the rate of relapse and hospitalisation for people with a mental illness and encourage community participation and education on mental health issues.
