Newcastle & District Nursing Service was established in 1975 by Sr Jan Stevens who recognised the need for community nurses to compliment the over-extended health system at the time. NDNS was the first private nursing agency established in the region. NDNS is dedicated in coordinating services to meet the needs of our clients with the ultimate outcome to allow them to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. NDNS offers a wide range of services to help you remain independently in your own home. Services include post hospitalisation care, wound care, falls prevention, rehabilitation, dementia care, management of medications and incontinence, palliative care, disability care and support, grief and bereavement support and a broad range of other technical nursing care.
