T 9361 8000 (Sydney metropolitan) T 1800 422 599 (for callers outside Sydney) Methadone Advice & Conciliation Service (MACS) The Methadone Advice and Conciliation Service (MACS) is a telephone helpline that provides opiate pharmacotherapy information (including methadone and buprenorphine), referrals, advice and a forum for pharmacotherapy concerns. How to get onto a program, what they should expect from clinics and doctors providing the service, the guidelines from NSW Health and helps them understand what lies behind the strict regulations for patients and staff. Information, advice and support for tobacco smokers who want to stop smoking.Ring or SMS 13 7848 (13 QUIT.) The Drug and Alcohol Liaison service provides assessment, intervention, consultation and advice on the treatment and management of complex alcohol and drug related presentations and referrals. It is also responsible for providing specialist alcohol and drug education and training for hospital based workers, medical and nursing students.
