The NSW Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors (STARTTS) helps refugees recover from their experiences and build a new life in Australia. STARTTS’ clients are refugees, asylum seekers and people from refugee-like backgrounds who have survived torture and/or trauma in association with organised violence. STARTTS services include counselling, group therapy, group activities and outings, camps for children and young people, English classes and physiotherapy.
